Materials Development and Publishing
Developing targeted messages and communicating them effectively is at the heart of what HECC does best. Materials developed by HECC include:

Social Marketing
Social marketing is the design and implementation of public education campaigns to inform and persuade the public about a particular issue. HECC's approach to social marketing blends both mass media and community outreach. HECC's public education campaigns include: consultation with stakeholders; development of materials such as brochures and videotapes; communication with national, state and/or local media; organizing community agencies; training-of-trainer workshops; technical assistance to community agencies; and evaluation of the campaign's outreach and impact.

Research and Evaluation
Research and evaluation form an integral part of HECC's work, whether as a single focus or as part of a larger project. HECC uses multiple research methods, including:

These methods can be used singly or together to develop targeted messages or programs for specific audiences or to test the effectiveness of a communication strategy or program once it has been developed.

Training and Technical Assistance
HECC works with clients to plan and deliver custom training and technical assistance. Our staff is experienced in producing train-the-trainer guides and materials, and can also conduct trainings using packages developed by the client.
